Networking Tips.

 

During our meeting you will be able to present for  up to 1 minute to the whole group or to put it another way. Use your best Minilogue! 

Our Networking tip is to include at least 3 of the following. You chose which you are most comfortable using and where you perceive a higher value to you or the group.

However a word of warning don't get caught Monologing! 

 

  1. A brief and short introduction

  2. Your USP – Unique Selling Point

  3. A helpful tip or idea about your area of expertise

  4. A helpful tip or idea for another members business


You are respectfully asked to observe the following Meeting Etiquette

  1. Be prepared for a business meeting.

    Participate in an open business forum.

    R
    espect the groups values at all times.

    1 minute maximum to SELL your products and services or

    To share best practice, experience and advice.

    No open promotion of other business groups without prior agreement.

 

Meeting rules, it is necessary in any group situation to set out the rules. Please also observe these when attending our meetings.
 

1.        We operate a warm and friendly group where you can forge strong working relationships. Please remember there is no place for the hard sell at or after our meetings.

2.        Seagulls are not welcome!

3.        Poachers are not welcome!

4.        Switch off your phone on arrival.

5.        Place your cards on the table provided and ensure you take them with you at the end of the meeting. Please do not bring other peoples literature to the meeting, regardless of your relationship. It will be removed

6.        Only the literature from the DBC and 10 Minute Speaker to be on the table.

7.        1 minute means 1 minute, you are required to prepare for the meeting by observing the minimum standard as detailed above.

8.        Do not use your 1 minute to promote other networking groups. This is best done by mutual agreement of the groups’ management, as has been seen by the results achieved.

9.         Try to ensure your message is focused, relevant and simple. What is your USP, or reason for people to listen?

10.     Testimonials & Referrals are not to be used to make a second pitch.

11.     Whilst we apply no pressure to provide referrals, do please try to pass business amongst the members. Including these in your Minilogue is a great way to create trust with new members.

11.     As a matter of policy non-attending business or groups will not be able to promote themsleves or benefit from any form of promotion.

12.     Stay at the end of the meeting, enjoy some lunch and get to know everyone better. It is when you will get much more from the meeting.

13.     Our venue BMYC charges £3 on entry. This includes temporary membership and your choice of tea or coffee.
